The Optical Cable Identifier (also referred to as an Optical Cable Tracer) is a portable, non-destructive testing instrument designed for accurate, long-distance identification of target optical fibers. It effectively solves a critical field challenge: when multiple unmarked cables are bundled in ducts or manholes and technicians need to locate the right one before splicing or emergency repairs — eliminating the risk of cutting the wrong cable.
